Ramblings with Paula

For months, I have been writing captions and trying to figure out what to say on blog posts. (Not sure who actually reads these, but they are fun to me.)

And instantly when I come here to a blank page, the words don't want to come. I could use Ai, but honestly it annoys me and I'd rather write.  But then I realized something, the title of this post is RAMBLINGS. It's me being me. Multiple thoughts at once and a ton of thoughts thrown in a blog posts so you can get to know me a little bit better.

I'm not going to lie. My head is still in Las Vegas at the Dita Von Teese Burlesque Show at the Voltaire in The Venetian. I decided the last time I was in Las Vegas that I needed to go see her in person after reading her books.

I was hesitant to go. Not because of the show, but because of me. I didn't look like her and I didn't have anything to wear to a show like this in my closet. The last few years, my self confidence has dropped. It will bounce back, but more about that another day.

ANYWAYS, I noticed one of the gals in a group that I'm apart of was going to be in Vegas the same weekend and asked if she wanted to go. I don't think I could have messaged a better person to watch the show with!!! Kelli was amazing hang out and I hope to meet up with her again.

Back to the show....

When I say I picked the VEGAS SHOW, I did. Everything I could have dreamed about with a Las Vegas Burlesque show with the Queen of Burlesque. The venue was gorgeous! The show gorgegous! The COSTUMES! The DANCERS!!! There was one that I loved! I hope she knows how much she inspires women to see their body type walking on that stage.

I was so inspired and encouraged by watching the show that I honestly haven't been able to get it out of my head!  Sadly, we weren't allowed to take pictures during the show other than the last few minutes which are in this post.

The experience was so memorable and just made me love Boudoir and Burlesque just a little bit more.

Things to know before you go

The show tries to keep the classy aspect of the night so NO tennis shoes, tank tops and a whole host of other things.

The strip is full of places to shop, but your prices can be high. I found things from like $150 to $500. Before finding a Marshalls and Ross. And if you are a plus size gal, it sucks. Or if you wear size 11, but if you do, go to ROSS. Best selection I've seen in forever!!!

Know before you go, because which Marshalls and Ross is on the strip you never know what you are going to find. Plus the idea of shoe shopping. Don't be like me. Get your outfit ready before you leave. Don't just expect to wear jeans and a cute tank. You will want to stay with the magic! My next cocktail dress is already on my Amazon wishlist waiting for me and my next Dita Von Teese Show!!!

Til the next rambling,

~Paula
