Q) The women on your website look amazing... What if I'm not?
A) First, thank you! Second, everyone one of them is like you, they looked at boudoir photos at one point in time and said I could never look that good. During your session, I do not leave you alone I will help you pose you feet, head, lips, hands, etc. I got you. I will also give you guidance about your wardrobe, grooming, etc. for the day of the session. All you need to do is show up and TRUST ME.
Q) Where will my session take place? Do you have a studio?
A) Your session will take place at my studio at my house located in the southeast area of Springfield, Missouri. My basement has been remodeled to have a completely boudoir studio area. If you are doing a "Coffee Chat" via Zoom/Google Hangouts, I will be giving a tour of my space.
On location session are welcome and just needs to be planned a little further in advance, but I love them! On-location shooting is available for a small addition fee! Just ask.
Q) What should I wear?
A) Whatever you feel sexy in. That can be a pair of undies and a bra, a bodysuit, a t-shirt, socks, etc. It is really up to you. In a one hour session, typically I would plan on about 3 outfits to allow plenty of time for photos in all those outfits. Don't stress about it too much. I could totally do a session with someone just in undies and a sheet. If you have more questions about outfits, just ask and check out the Prepping for Your Session.
A Pre-Session Wardrobe guide will be sent out after you book your session to help out with all of those amazing questions!
Q) I want you to photograph me but I'm not sure of my comfort level in lingerie or nude. Can you still shoot me?
A) Yes, most definitely. You don't have to take off your clothes to feel sexy and there are a ton of outfits out that you will rock out! So if you aren't sure, we don't have to do any nudity or even implied. (We can save that for your second shoot.) If you are feeling a little adventuresome, we can do as much as you feel comfortable with. On the other hand, if you are wanting crotch shots and over the top suggestive images, I'm probably not the photographer for you. Just ask and I'll let you know either way. I mainly shoot implied nudity so don't worry a bit.
Q) I would feel so much better if I could bring someone with me.
A) Close friends are sometimes exactly what is recommended for starting out a session. Only one friend is allowed in the studio area with you. I do ask that they let me do the posing with you and they don't interfere with the session in that aspect. A lot of the time, they are sitting on the couch, chilling as you are enjoying your session. Please let me know if you are wanting to bring a friend. One idea for you if you want to bring a friend, book two sessions the same day to cheer the other along. Think about the memories!
I do not allow boyfriends, husbands or spouses around the day of the session as well as children. I want you to be comfortable and ready to be pamper, not stressing. You deserve the time to be just about you!
Q) I don't want my pictures to be out there. Can we keep this between us?
A) Yes. Your images don't have to be shared with anyone that you don't want them to be. Your images are created for you. So if you don't want them public they won't be. I can understand if you don't your images shared in public. No worries, your images will never be shared without your permission.
If you do decide to share your images and permit me to use them all over the place, your name will never be used and I will NEVER tag you on social media.
If you are somewhere in the middle of that, well there are options for you too! You can choose to just have anonymous photos posed, only in the ladies only Facebook group, Paula's Boudoir Babes. Or even just be on some marketing material like sample albums. There are a ton of choices for you to decide.
Q) Okay, I'm ready to book my session. What comes next?
A) Fill out this contact form. Then I contact you about setting up a "Coffee Chat" -- pre-consult to discuss outfits, times, and your session. This is a time where we will be discussing your images, the contract and ideas for your shoot as well as get to know each other better. A $100 non-refundable deposit is due at that time as well. I know it can be super intimidating to sign up with someone you have never met before to do a session like this.
This "Coffee Chat" - pre-consultation can be in-person at an awesome location in town like Orange Leaf, No-Baked Cookiedough, or any number of coffee shops in town. Or if you are coming from out of town, we can do a Zoom/Facetime meeting. I want this to be a time where you get to know me a little better and helps you feel more excited about your session!
If you are still busting with questions, send them to be via the contact form or email@example.com and I will get back to you ASAP!
Q) How much will I spend on a session with you?
A) Honestly, it varies. The session itself is $325. That includes the photo shoot, the retouching of your images and the in-person photo reveal for you to order your photos. At your photo reveal, all of the different ways to display your images will be out for you to flip through, look, touch and ask more questions.
Our image pricing does vary due to offering several different options to display your images. There are your typical products like albums and digital files but there are other options such as a Glass Memory Box, a Retro ViewFinder, an Ice Block, and Metal Wall Art. There are three different collections put together as well. Those are on the Pricing Page. Our product pricing range from $175 to $1,100.
